Subject Terminal - Active Session
Welcome back to the Animus.
This terminal is maintained by Abstergo Historical Research as part of the ongoing Animus Subject Programme. Genetic memory extraction is active. All subjects listed in this archive have been processed through the Animus and confirmed as viable ancestors within the Assassin lineage. This record exists for internal tracking purposes to document which memory threads are stable, which subjects are currently synchronised, and what historical data has been successfully recovered.

Module 01
Genetic Memory Index
Twenty recorded subjects, each tied to a memory we've lived through Assassin's Creed. This isn't a complete data of this archive. There will be more as recorded.
Module 02
Desync Log
A running record of system events, alter activity, and structural shifts. Entries are logged in reverse chronological order. "Desync" denotes any moment significant enough to mark - a new presence, a change in how the system operates, or simply something worth knowing happened here.
Archive initialised
This site is live. Subject is bodily 23 years old. The system currently holds 20 recorded AC-origin alters spanning entries from 2010 to present. This log exists to track what the memory index cannot - the texture of living in a shared body over time. Entries below are reconstructed from available data; timestamps are approximate where direct recall is unavailable.
System stabilisation - increased co-consciousness
The later alters in the index - Hytham, Shay, Jacob, Arno - appear to have become more consistently present during this period. Co-consciousness has increased: multiple alters aware of the front simultaneously rather than discrete switches with amnesia between them. This is not resolution. The system is not collapsing toward singularity. It is becoming better at knowing who is present and when.
Formal identification - system acknowledged as DID
The body is around 19–20. Clinical acknowledgement of Dissociative Identity Disorder occurs during this window. For the system this changes less than expected - the alters have been present regardless of whether the framework existed to name them. What changes is the ability to talk about it without dismantling the conversation first. The AC-origin alters are already numerous by this point. Knowing they fit a recognised structure is, on balance, useful.
Expansion of system - Brotherhood and post-ACIII alters
Estimated period of first emergence for Haytham, Connor, Edward, Adewale, Shay, and the Ezio II and III aspects. The body is 16–18. This maps roughly to increased engagement with the wider AC catalogue beyond the original trilogy. Whether the games introduced these alters or gave existing presences a frame to step into is not something the system can answer cleanly. Probably both. The trauma that underlies the system's existence is present throughout this period - it is not elaborated here, but it is not absent either.
Secondary wave - Odyssey, Origins, Valhalla cohort
Estimated first emergence window for Bayek, Alexios, Basim, and Basim-Loki. The body is 12–15. These alters align with games released during this period; their arrival follows or accompanies first playthroughs. Basim and his Loki aspect are noted as distinct from the outset - two threads that coexist without collapsing into one. Desmond and Shaun also solidify as consistent presences around this time, functioning as something close to internal anchors in the modern-day framing the system gravitates toward.
Second wave - Ezio I, Malik, Federico
Estimated first emergence for Ezio Auditore da Firenze (first aspect), Malik Al-Sayf, and Federico Auditore. The body is approximately 9–11. Ezio II and III are not yet distinct - the Brotherhood and Revelations aspects separate later. Federico's presence is notable: he arrives as someone who does not survive his own game. The system holds people who exist in the negative space of a story as readily as those who drive it.
First recorded AC-origin alter - Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad
Earliest confirmed emergence in the AC-origin cohort. The body is approximately 7 years old. Altaïr is the starting point - the system's first contact with Assassin's Creed as a source of identity rather than just a game. Whether he arrived because the game provided a framework for something already present, or whether the game itself is what created the conditions, is not determinable from this position. He has been here since. He remains.

The historical eras we carry, ordered from oldest to modern day. Each entry covers what happened in the games and which of us hold that memory.
